Dental Implant Cost in Hyderabad 2026
What Decides the Price of an Implant
Written and medically reviewed by Dr.Sri Sushma, BDS, MDS (Periodontics & Implantology). Updated .
Quick answer: There is no single price for a dental implant in Hyderabad. The fee depends mainly on how many teeth are replaced, the implant system and crown, and whether bone grafting is needed. At our Anandbagh clinic your exact fee is confirmed after an examination and a 3D scan, before treatment starts.
If you are comparing dental implant cost in Hyderabad, compare the complete treatment rather than the price of the implant alone. One quote may include the abutment, the crown, the planning scan and follow-up visits while another leaves some of them out, so two quotes that look far apart may not cover the same work.
What Is Included in the Cost of a Dental Implant?
A single-tooth implant has three parts, and a complete quote should cover all of them, plus the scan used to plan it:
- The implant: a small titanium post placed in the jawbone, where it acts as an anchor for the replacement tooth. Its cost varies with the implant system used.
- The abutment: the connector that joins the implant to the crown. It is usually part of the quote, but it is worth checking.
- The crown: the visible tooth. Zirconia and metal-ceramic crowns differ in appearance and cost.
- The planning scan: a 3D (CBCT) scan shows the height and width of the bone before an implant is placed. At our clinic this scan is included in the implant treatment fee.
| Treatment | When It May Be Considered | What Changes the Price? |
|---|---|---|
| Single implant with crown | One missing tooth, with enough healthy bone | Implant system, crown material, bone volume |
| Bone grafting | The jawbone is too thin or too low to hold an implant | How much bone must be rebuilt, graft material |
| Implant-supported bridge | Several missing teeth next to each other | Number of implants, bridge material |
| Full jaw on 4 implants (often called All-on-4) | Most or all teeth missing in one jaw | Fixed or removable teeth, grafting, materials |
| Full jaw on 6 implants | Most or all teeth missing, where more support is planned | Fixed or removable teeth, grafting, materials |
| Implant-supported denture | A loose denture that needs better support | Number of implants, type of attachment |
Which option suits you depends on your examination and 3D scan. Your fee is worked out from that plan and confirmed before treatment starts.
What Makes an Implant Cost More or Less?
- Number of teeth and implants: several missing teeth can sometimes share implants through an implant bridge, rather than one implant per tooth.
- Implant system: systems differ in price. Ask which system is planned, what documentation comes with it, and what happens if a part needs replacing later.
- Crown material: zirconia, metal-ceramic and other crowns differ in cost and appearance.
- Bone volume: if the jawbone is too thin or too low to hold an implant, bone grafting may be needed first or at the same visit, which adds cost and time.
- Extraction and temporary teeth: removing a failing tooth, or wearing a temporary tooth while the implant heals, can be part of the plan.
- Gum health: gum disease is treated before an implant is placed. A history of periodontitis is linked with a higher risk of peri-implantitis, an infection that damages the bone around an implant.
When Does Bone Grafting Add to the Cost?
When a tooth has been missing for some time, the bone that held it can shrink. If there is not enough bone to hold an implant securely, a bone graft may be advised. It adds to the fee, and how much depends on how much bone needs rebuilding and the graft material. It can also lengthen treatment: Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust notes that a bone graft may add 4 to 6 months. Our Dental Bone Grafting page explains when grafting is needed.
How Long Does Implant Treatment Take?
Implant treatment happens in stages. The implant needs several months to join the bone before it can support a tooth, and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust advises that the whole treatment could take 6 to 12 months. Our step-by-step implant guide explains each stage.
Full-Mouth and Multiple-Tooth Implants
When several teeth or a whole jaw are missing, implants can support a bridge or a full set of teeth instead of one implant per tooth. Options include an implant-supported bridge, a fixed full-jaw bridge on four to six implants, or a removable denture that clips onto implants. The cost depends on the number of implants, whether the teeth are fixed or removable, and whether grafting is needed. Our Implant-Supported Dentures page explains these options.
Does Dental Insurance Cover Implants?
Cover for dental implants varies widely between insurers, employer benefits, exclusions and reimbursement rules. Do not assume implants are covered: check your policy with your insurer before treatment. We can give you treatment details and an estimate to discuss with them.
How to Compare Implant Quotes
Compare what each quote includes, not only the total. Useful questions are:
- Which implant system is planned?
- Are the abutment, crown and planning scan included?
- Might bone grafting be needed, and is it priced in?
- Who places the implant, and who makes the crown?
- Which follow-up visits and maintenance are included?
A lower quote is not automatically unsafe, and a higher quote is not automatically better.
Implant, Bridge or Denture: Compare the Whole Treatment
For one missing tooth, an implant crown is one fixed option, but a bridge or a denture may also be reasonable depending on the neighbouring teeth, bone, bite, general health and your preferences. A bridge usually costs less at the start but needs the neighbouring teeth to be shaped for crowns, and a removable denture usually costs least at the start. Comparing each option over the years you expect it to last, including maintenance, gives a fairer picture than the first bill. Read what happens if a missing tooth is not replaced.
What Can Add to the Cost Later?
Implants need looking after, like natural teeth. Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust lists the main risks: an implant may not join the bone (more likely in people who smoke), parts can loosen or wear over time, and poor cleaning can lead to inflammation of the gum around the implant (mucositis) or bone loss around it (peri-implantitis). Regular check-ups and professional cleaning help find problems early, when they are simpler to treat. See signs of implant problems.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a dental implant cost in Hyderabad?
There is no single price, because no two implant plans are the same. The fee depends on how many teeth are being replaced, the implant system, the crown, and whether bone grafting or an extraction is needed first. At our clinic your exact fee is confirmed after examination and a 3D scan, before treatment starts.
Is the 3D scan included in the implant fee?
Yes. At our Anandbagh clinic the 3D (CBCT) scan used to plan your implant is included in the implant treatment fee.
Can I pay in instalments or by EMI?
We accept cash, credit and debit cards, UPI and net banking. We do not offer EMI or financing.
Is having an implant placed painful?
Implants are placed under local anaesthesia, so the area is numb during the procedure. Some soreness, swelling or bruising for a few days afterwards is common, particularly after bone grafting.
How long does dental implant treatment take?
Often 6 to 12 months from placing the implant to fitting the final tooth, because the implant needs several months to join the bone. A bone graft can add another 4 to 6 months.
Is a cheaper implant quote a false economy?
Not always. Compare what each quote includes: the implant system, the abutment and crown, the planning scan, any grafting, who places the implant and what follow-up is included. A lower quote that leaves some of these out can end up costing more.
